Hello again! Here’s a short interruption to our series about food photography and food styling to mention the new format we’re sporting. My web designer Natalie Diffloth and I decided this blog should look more like the rest of my website, instead of something separate out there on the internet. In the process of bringing the blog together with the rest of my site, we built the whole structure on WordPress, the blog publication app that was already running my blog. Everything should still look the same on the main site, but with the new machinery under the hood we are much more search-friendly! Also, it’s a lot easier for me to edit content. All good stuff. By the way, Natalie Diffloth lives and works in Freiburg Germany, on the edge of the Black Forest, and we do most of our work using Skype. We meet in Boston about once a year, and I’m still looking forward to someday meeting in her town.
Coming up in our series on food photography tips — we’ll talk about kitchen equipment, and I’ll show you the insides of some food stylists’ kits. Many of the tools and materials I see them use are quite amazing! I hope you’ll stay tuned.
